don't you think.
Why not use a pendant, or a sconce??
When all else fails, throw the table lamps crashing to the floor and go pick yourself up some outside the box thinking!
Down with table lamps and up with pendants and sconces....
I.E.
SOME PENDANTS
SOME SCONCES
I think YES
Here are some options I got my eyeballs on.

Love the sconces. Maybe I'm weird but a lot of those pendants give me claustrophobia. Maybe I have a fear of them smothering me in my sleep.
ReplyDeleteTotally...they take up too much space that I need filled for books!
ReplyDeleteI think I love every single kind of lighting there is and am presenting particularly obsessed with sconces- want a pair smacked on the wall pretty much everywhere. Love the idea of pendants on either side of a bed- tres fabulous.
ReplyDeleteThis is trouble. I was all set to buy some simple Pottery Barn sconces for my bedroom and now I really really want the Fred SConce at double the price. It's fabulous! Great find.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great look! I love it and will definitely need to use them in our master.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you! Down with table lamps and up with pendants! Specially that purple one with the shape of a pear. XoXo
ReplyDeleteAgreed. I would pick a sconce over table lamp any day! A pendant would be second best.
ReplyDeleteSo true Amber.

Love this idea. I did a couple cute green crystal chandeliers in a little girl's room on either side of the bed (it's on my site). Did it basically cuz I was afraid the girl would send lamps crashing down anyway. The client thought it was going to look "awkward." It was so cute! Gave an uber trad room a little something. Wish I'd taken better close-up of them.
ReplyDeleteLove! All of it!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of switching it up and using pendants or sconces. Those corbel sconces are really cool.
ReplyDeleteAs I'm starting to look at buying a place of our own close or in Boston I realize that I wont have much space to work with. I have been thinking that hanging pendants or sconces will be a big space saver when it comes to lighting the bedrooms. I love all of these spaces you posted!

I like chandeliers more than pendant and scones. They can transform the entire look of the room.
ReplyDeleteThe pendant in the second picture looks absolutely stunning. Especially in that setting.
ReplyDeleteThe bedroom in the first picutre looks cozy and nice.
ReplyDeleteFabulous Table lamps! Nice work! Thanks for doing this blog. I absolutely love it!
ReplyDeleteExcellent information and facts. Only real difficulty I was basically receiving was viewing the pics. No idea exactly why.
