Yesterday I was doing another installment at client awesome's pad!
It's not quite there yet, but it is coming along lovely.
Here are a couple of sneaky views of whats happening down at the beach.
I would show you the whole shebang.....but,
I am holding out for some fancy pants magazine to swoop on in and call first dibs on this project.
seriously,
House Beautiful, Elle Decor.....you listening?
Have your people call my people and we will do lunch.
If you need me I will be waiting patiently by the phone.....
There is still some key elements missing from the house...
None of the final artwork is in place yet...just some fillers.
Not all the fancy rugs are in
and
New drapes are down the road...
Awesome money don't grow on trees and shit!
Stay Tuned for those changes

In personal news, the Duck was off to Australia last night and I am so sad :(
I am in no way prepared to be Solo Momma for the next two weeks.
Actually to be honest, this two weeks is not what I am freaking out about...
you see, the Duck and I are going to the UK in March for 3 weeks when he gets back from OZ which will be fun and awesome to see the fam.
but
After our little rendezvous with the Ducks fan in Britain is up, I am flying back home to L.A. SOLO with G (she is 2) to be home alone again for 7 weeks while the Duck stays on tour in Europe!
um.
What the FUCK am I going to do for 7 weeks by myself with G and no Duck to cook for us and do manly things like build a raised garden box for spring vegetables OR fix up the bathrooms??
7 weeks is a long ass time.
there will be tears and emotional rants..for sure
Hopefully I can count on you lovers for some moral support.....
or some xanax in the mail
Hey, I have a new client meeting tonight...
what am I,
Stupid?

stunning Amber, you are my absolutely favourite designer, your work is beautiful, modern but very welcoming, and I lobe the use of colours, textures and patterns, gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYou have so much talent it is starting to come out of your little toes. Crikey.

OMG it looks amazing! Please say you will spill the beans on where you bought all that stuff! What is that bird wallpaper on the ceiling and where did you get that amazing dining table . . . i must know!!! cant wait
ReplyDeleteOh man, I'm feeling your hubs on the road home alone with a 2 yr old pain! Hubs was gone for 10 weeks when my son was 2...it sucked big black donkey d%$&s! But we're here, and you'll get through it. Try to focus on the fun mommy time you and the sweet girl will have!
ReplyDeleteYou did an amazing job on this house! I love it!!! if you need artwork call me
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh have fun in the UK!! My husband is from England and we do the long haul trip from the west coast with our two boys...it sucked when they were around a year old, but 2 years is perfect to be able to entertain them, drug them, and happily arrive! I've done the trip once with them alone, and it was shockingly pain-free. Hope you have an amazing time. My whole body aches to be in the Cotswolds again, RIGHT NOW. The 7 weeks alone....that just sucks. No good words for that one. I'd be looking at some special fare to go see him, even if for three days, just to break that shit up. Enjoy, and good luck!
ReplyDeleteRebecca
Do you have sources for the artwork--particularly the piece over the console table you can spy in the background of the living room, and also the white framed piece on the bookshelf (left middle shelf)? Looks beautiful! I especially love those minty green pillows!
ReplyDeletewow, wow and wow!!! i can't get enough of these pictures - there's so much to take in! cannot wait to see the rest. i will be shocked if elle or hb doesn't call!
ReplyDeleteLove Love Love!!!
ReplyDeleteMy boyfriend works away and is only home 12 weeks a year so I feel your pain - although my kids are only of the fur variety.
The duck wouldn't happen to be in Australia touring the Soundwave festival? If so I was there in Brisbane on Saturday and the weather was total stink!
Does sanyone know who makes the super cool neon-horizontal-striped artwork!?!
