Blogs are a funny thing.
Everyday I blab about things I am doing, or what I am liking, or what I am wearing or working on and so on and so forth..
.blah blah blah.
Well, last night when I was trying to get my shit together enough to post something for you lovers today, I thought to myself
"I don't know enough about you lovers!!!"
and
I want to know about you guys and what kinda peeps you are.
I wanna know about you ALL
How about I start a little series called
"What kinda (BLANK) are you?"
It will be a fun excersise, so I suggest y'all participate.
So this week I ask you,
What Kinda CHICKEN COOP are you?
If you had to choose a coop that best embodies the kinda style, and chicken you are.
Which coop would you choose and why?
COOP 1
COOP 2
COOP 3
COOP 4
COOP 5
COOP 6
COOP 7
COOP 8
COOP 9
Can you guess what coop I am?
I am totally a combo COOP 5 and COOP 6
So a bit of whimsy and a bit of modern...sweet
BTW
I am crazy and sleep deprived!
That is the only explanation I have for this post

Yes, same here. Definitely a combination of 5 and 6. I love this series!
ReplyDeleteLOL. I'm definitely Coop 4.

How cool is this?! I like a lot of them but if just one probably coop #7.
ReplyDeleteEither 1,4 or 5. SO fun!!
ReplyDeleteNumber 2! I love that it's tucked away in a little garden :)
ReplyDeleteI'm coop #5. It seems funny that you post this since I just signed up for an urban chicken class yesterday. I think we will start with a tiny coop and hopefully one day figure out a way to create something like #5.
ReplyDeletehahah I'm between 2 and 5 but this made me laugh cause my grandma's coop came to my mind, a massive part of her garden is for the chickens!
ReplyDeleteI'm 2 4 and 5. A little modern/classic.
ReplyDeleteThis is tough. I'm probably coop 5. I also appreciate coop 3 for its color. I really love this because we are actually looking at blueprints now for chicken coops to get ready for our chicks in the Spring. Some good ideas. So cute!

I love this!
ReplyDeleteIf coop 2 was black like coop 5, that would be me perfectly - a little untamed and feminine, with a little edgy classic.
And I really want chickens!
Of course-chicken coops. Always the best way to get to know someone, suuuuure Amber. But I will play- 4 and 5 for me!
ReplyDeleteCoop #2 for me, I love that it has a cottage feel, and that you can see the bedding, plus the more room for my adopted chickens to walk around in the better :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a fun idea! Sleep deprived or not sleep deprived! I'd be coop #5 because it's pretty enough for me and the chickens to hang out in and I could put a few chairs out front of the coop and have a beer or glass of wine.
ReplyDeletealthough my own chicken coop is not as fancy as any of these gems, and i adore karen's coop (5), i'd have to choose a combo of #'s 6 and 9. who could resist a little dwell meets trailer trash whimsy?
ReplyDeleteThis is a cute idea. I like it. Combo of 2 & 4.
ReplyDelete2 and 4 are both pretty good.
ReplyDeleteThis new series is going to be hilarious.

ReplyDeleteDefinetly coop 4... Traditional with a vintage/eclectic touch
ReplyDeleteI am number 3
ReplyDeletehow sweet & looks beautiful in the garden.
Totally a mix between 1 and 8...what can I say? I'm a modern kinda chicken!

ReplyDeleteI like coop 8! I love that it is clean and modern- never would guess it was a chicken coop! The retro travel trailer one is adorable too!
ReplyDeleteI would have to say that I am coop 6. Love this series!

#1 and #3, do they relate to each other? A bit of natural and a bit of white with pops of colour.
ReplyDeleteHey, I'm chicken coop 5 but in a less severe color, like grey. I'm a city girl through and through, so this would have to be stored at your house :)
ReplyDeleteCoop 5, completely. Gorgeous and classic.
ReplyDeleteHa! Coop 3 actually IS my chicken coop. But looking at all these others, I'm getting coop-envy. Thanks for showing ours off!
ReplyDeleteFirst I was like WTF? What kind of chicken coop am I??? Then I remembered whose blog this was! :)
ReplyDeleteSo...I'll play along, & I was surprised at how tough this was. I knew for sure which ones I didn't like, but narrowing down the ones I did was hard.
I like 4 & 7 best!
Coop 5!!! Absolutely
ReplyDeleteCool coops!
ReplyDeleteI am one and nine, I think they would make for very happy chickens. I have been thinking about getting chickens. Thanks for reminding me! Sahx
Me I'm a coop 9 - modernist magic
ReplyDeleteThis is such an awesome idea, I am definitely playing along.
ReplyDeleteOk so I have to choose 2, to cover 2 different moods lol - coop 5 and coop 7!
These are some seriously cool chicken coops xx
#1 or #2. fo sho. my mom has pet ducks and we're building her a coop this spring. i think #1 wins!!!! such a fun post :)
ReplyDeleteUmmm, can I say #2, 3, or 4? Love crisp, clean white . . but also love the colorful coop, and I can't say no to the more natural look of #4 - it blends in with its surroundings so well!
ReplyDeleteI am coop 5 for sure!!! Love the color, lights, modern sophistication of the coop! Love the idea of doing these posts on a weekly basis!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a mix of 1 and 6. I really want to paint our bungalow black!!
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely a mix between coop 2 and coop 7 with just a dash of coop 4 ;)
ReplyDelete2 and 4 for sure!
ReplyDelete#3 for sure
ReplyDeleteCoop number 5 all the way! :) I love this series you've started! I can't wait to see what other (blanks) you come up with! Have an awesome afternoon!
ReplyDeleteI'm a combo between 2 and 4. I love the feel of a fairytale garden and something about the 4th just makes me love it! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Amber! I'm a coop 4 with a little bit of 5...I need some COLOR on my coop!
ReplyDeletehands down coop 1. i wouldn't have doors or windows if the weather would approve. this is why we consider hawaii a very serious option...
ReplyDeleteHmmmm, definitely mix between coopo 2 and coop 4. Although I adore the lights on coop 5.
ReplyDeleteThis is hilarious. What a gorgeous idea to pick a chicken coop.
Ha! was looking at chicken coops - in passing - while looking at rabbit hutches on the weekend.
Great timing.
Just discovered your blog via Popsugar and the tour of your wonderful home.
ReplyDeleteI'm a simple gal and I like #1.
I couldn't decide between 5 and 6, which is probably why I love this blog.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea there was such personality to be found in the world of chickens! Gives new meaning to the "pecking order" of style!
ReplyDeletehttp://thewalkup.wordpress.com/
I'm #8 small and modern.
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA I was working up a post on chicken coops a month ago and couldn't get the images to load so I gave up LOL Had seen these images too and LOVED 3 and 4...torn between those two, can't decide. I sooo want a chicken coop. Love this series.
ReplyDeleteI think I'd be a combo of coop 2, 3and . A little traditional, lots of New England and a splash of BAM!
ReplyDeleteI'll be hangin out in coop 5, thank you very much. Come visit, having an old-school cocktail hour later.
ReplyDeleteThis is why I follow you, you are a crazy genius. I'm a 5 with a little bit of 4.
ReplyDeleteI'm the kind of coop that can't handle that many choices.
ReplyDeletetough call! i think i'd have to say i'm a combo of coops 5 and 8.
ReplyDeleteOK, so I'm a little late at this game, but I had to comment. I had 5 rhode island reds last year and we built a coop out of scrap deck boards and I painted the color of number 3 coop! But in reality, coop number 8 is more my thing. What a fun (and a little random) post! Love your design work!
ReplyDeletecombo of 4 & 5 ... rustic & modern.
ReplyDeleteThanks all. Coop 5 is my coop which ... I built with my own bare hands. Because I'm an idiot. :) This post includes all sorts of pictures, including ones of the chickens and the interior of the coop. http://www.theartofdoingstuff.com/the-coop/ ~ karen!
ReplyDeleteExcellent information and facts. Only real difficulty I was basically receiving was viewing the pics. No idea exactly why.
