So I may or may not have a magazine coming to shoot my house in a month and I may or may not be remodeling my bathroom and I may or may not be scrambling to make it real real pretty real real quickly..
As if I needed to add one more thing to my list...wah wah wah
Anyways , I have loved the look of a textured or boarded wall...
So on my list of "to do's for the big day" I have decided to panel my walls...
Not like a tacky 70's ranch house, but more like an easy breezy beautiful old beach house
See Below
Don't you think....
what say you?

Oh, it's so gorgeous. I've always dreamed of a house with those walls.
ReplyDeleteAnd congratulations!
Love it!!! Anyone have any idea where the cocktail table in the first image is from?
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan. It feels just beachy enough to feel comfortable, easy, breezy.
ReplyDeleteI love it, so rich and cozy and be achy!

How exciting! I cannot wait to find out and read the magazine you may or may not be in! And I love the paneling. The California girl inside me is screaming for some :)
ReplyDeleteTime and time again I find myself in various stores looking for inspiration for my home sweet home and time and time again I find people giving me funny looks as I say out loud "What would Amber do?". Seriously, you need to devise an app for my android phone so I can use it for guidance and help. The paneling is beautiful. So bright and so summery. My husband has literally told me 30mins ago he's going decorate the bathroom soon. May have to get him to check the photo's! Good luck with the 'maybe or not maybe' thing! xx
ReplyDeleteLove the paneling and how much it brighten ups all the room!! The office and the fireplace are my favorites. Good luck!!!
ReplyDeleteI like the look of the paneling. Good luck with the shoot! Can't wait to see it!

I love painted ship lap paneling and have plans to add it to some spaces in my home too. I think it provides a nice, subtle texture to a room which works well with traditional and contemporary furniture/furnishings.
ReplyDeleteI love a good beachy vibe. Paneled wall gets a thumbs up from me!

ReplyDeleteHi All - Beautiful inspiration. Does anyone know where the run in the second photo is from?
ReplyDeleteLove them all! We added horizontal paneling to our bathroom during a recent remodel and actually found a convincing alternative to individual planks at home depot. It comes in large sheets like convential beadboard but has single v-grooves about three inches apart. The 4x8 sheets were a breeze to work with and under $20 each...painted out great too!
ReplyDeleteYou're a hoot Ms. Amber. Loving the blog, the wit and the whole damn shebang! Good stuff.
ReplyDeleteAwesome. Love the idea and can't wait to find out which magazine may or may not be featuring you!
